| About: | Ophelia's, located on historic Independence Square, is part of a bed and breakfast-style inn with the same name. Although the fare is classified as "American," it's inventive American and American borrowing a little international style, such as Far East and Mediterranean. The starter selection includes hot appetizers, salads and soups. Chicken, lamb, seafood and steak are among the entree options. |

I agree with Stef's review. I enjoy the quiet atmosphere, the food is wonderful and the server was very knowledgeable and made some great recommendations. I enjoyed dining here.
I would have to disagree with the other reviewer below. While Ophelia's is definitely more upscale in price, the food, atmosphere and staff are well worth it. The food is simple, which is nice. It is different than you can find at other comparable restaurants. They also use ingredients that are very high quality. Another plus for me is it's quiet. At most there is the house pianist or guitarist playing relaxing music. Quite a change from most places that are overrun with music, tacky decorations and hoardes of diners. The staff is also excellent. They are knowlegeable, friendly, and give just the right amount of attention.
Over Priced for the Meal: Expect to be taken on overpriced food... higher than some Country Club Plaza restaurants. Obviously the Owners of this cowtown establishment are counting on the High School Prom crowd to be impressed and pay outlandish prices for simple food one night a year. Good Luck! Rethink your client base... Your restaurant will soon be a very expensive hobby if you do not get the drift.
