About:In the River Market area, this is an upscale restaurant which doubles as a happening concert venue. Opened in the year 2002, the restaurant quickly caught up on the nightlife in Kansas City, with the ever active dance floor which hosts hip hop, jazz, reggae. Food and drinks to accompany an eventful evening is a wonderful combination for chilling out. Occasionally it holds events like the 'Monthly Wine and Dinner' which are usually monthly events.

    20 DOLLARS!!! WHAT!: Don't get me wrong, the club is coo. It's a nice place to go on Wednesday's, but they are way out of line with their prices. One Wednesday, it was so packed which means they made alot of money and they still wanted 20$ from me and each of my friends and it was five of us. 100$ are you crazy. I just laughed, and then after you break yourself at the door you will also break yourself at the bar. The drinks are great but for what they are charging they might as well just give me the whole bottle. So my advice to you is if you just got paid go ahead and party at kabal's but if you have a light bill that's due, don't even think about it.

    This is my new spot: I LOVE this place. I know the owners and they are the sweetest guys I ever met :o) This is a good spot to go to on Wednesday nights to hear some Spoken Word poetry then you go downstairs and get your club on, then on Saturdays they have a mix crowd - Upstairs is hip/hop and rap and downstairs is techno (not my thing) The food is great, the service is great. I highly suggest to give it a try if you ever travel to KC

    A good night out: A high energy, urban-like atmosphere with varying styles of music ranging from rap to techno from floor to lower level floor. I would highly recommend and would definitely go again.
