Certainly not the quality that it was a few years ago, but still an adequate meal. The staff is hardworking but lack maturity and experience.
Probably one of my favorite places in the entire city. Again, a place I have patroned for over 10 years, and it never ceases to amaze me. Great Americana cuisine, impeccable service, and dynamite presentation. A little higher end on the price, but definitely worth it.
The Filet is my favorite entree and I always like to start with a crab cake; but the bruchetta is also very nice. These have changed over the years with new exec chefs, but they are always excellent.
Chicken, Lamb, Seafood, all incredible.
Sunday Brunch is another great experience. Purchase your entree, and make a pass though the 5 star buffet line, no Vegas style cuisine here, this is all top notch food. Compliment this with a Mimosa, and you are in business.
Save room for dessert; Phyllo Gnash Chocolate brownie - you may need to strap yourself into the seat for this one, sugar and caffeine overload, but it is wonderful.
Love the coffee too - Available via the Roasterie.
Not sure what has happened, but..: for years this has been one of my favorite restaurants in KC. However, I went there last Friday and did not have a very good experience. I ordered some roasted chicken and it came out pink in the center! I had to send it back and they cooked it more thoroughly, but I still don't think it was prepared properly because ever since Friday my stomach has been a mess. It's been miserable. To make matters worse, even though the manager and our waitress were both aware I was served raw chicken, they did not offer to try to make up for it in any way. Even a discount off of the bill would have been a nice gesture. I am not sure what happened because this is the first bad experience I have had at Grand Street, but it's enough to deter me from going back.
