    Famous for their skillet fried chicken, pork chops, and cinnamon rolls, Stroud's is my first choice for fillet mignon in KC. Justifiably an award winning restaurant, complete meals run from $10 - $27, wait time for a weekend dinner table is usually less than an hour. For a relaxed but fulfilling dinner it is hard to beat. Friendly efficient service, and good tasting, well presented food, at reasonable prices, awaits you at your table.

    this stroud's is no longer at this location. it has moved to north of the river - but still quite tasty

    Strouds is a great place for fried chicken. The wait is long, but it isn't so bad when you've got a drink and are watching their family of swans. I suggest getting their "Chicken Choker" drink and sharing with a date. It's great. I feel like family when I go there and never leave dissapointed!
