Two recent light rail articles show KC's plan to deceive the public. Deciding that a 3/8 cent tax is the most they could get, they adjusted their cost estimates to fit that number. KC plans a construction cost of $40 to $49 million/mile while 5 other cities plan an average voter approved cost of $88.9 million/mile. How can KC's rail cost half that of other cities? Simple - use reverse logic. Take the tax you think will pass and divide by the rail length. 3/8 cent yields $25 million/year minus $2 million for TIFs leaves $23 million times 25 years or $575 million. Divide that by 12 miles and get the $47.9 million/mile to sell the voters.
KC will get the money first, design for 3 years, announce the cost is double their original estimate, and then cut the line in half by building a 6 mile line from Downtown to The Plaza - which is all they ever wanted anyway. Taxpayers should stay vigilant and expect more lies as voting day approaches.
Since the closing of Crave, alot of us have moved to Muddy's. The people are cool, we can sit outside under a good-sized eave in the rain, and the coffee is great! :)
Also there are good places to park you motorcycle and scooter (you can lock it if you feel the need, though I never have).

This has nothing to do with Muddy's Coffeehouse.
I concur. This has nothing to do with the coffee house's business.
