We went to this restaurant because of reviews that it was an excellent mexican restaurant. And although the atmosphere and music was nice (not authentic mexican restaurant), the food was OKAY. It was not the 'best'. Now if you want good/ great/ tasty... then check out Dos Reales, they have good/ tasty and all of the above.
The staff was very nice and polite especially when the first dish I ordered was terrible I had to send it back for something else. The second dish was at best mediocre. The chips were thick and heavy, the salsa was o.k. but weird...not use to tasting oregano in salsa. This was the worst Mexican food I have ever had and will never eat there again. If you want real authentic Mexican food there is a restaurant on the same side of the street further south on southwest blvd.
Terrible guacamole. I ordered fish tacos and got a burnt fish stick in a hard corn tortilla. Great Mexican string band though and the salsa is at least pretty tasty.
