User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsDid a roadtrip to KC to get some BBQ. We stopped into LCâs to pick up some stuff to go. The place is nothing fancy to look at however the inside is clean and the staff was funny and friendly, the smoke smell was awesome. I got an order of ribs and some potato salad to go. When I got home WOW let me tell you the ribs were beautifully cooked with the right about of sauce on them, the smoke ring on the meat was just perfect and the flavor I have never tasted anything like it. These ribs were some of the best that I have ever had and I am so happy that we did stop in. The sauce is just a perfect compliment to their wonderful smoky meats. I much also mention that the potato salad was very good and I am very picky on my salad. There was a great sweet crunch flavor from the relish that they use and the portion was huge. Rich, creamy and the perfect side to my ribs. You can sure bet that this will be a regular stop for me when I am in KC. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a true KC classic!

LC's is real BBQ made the right way. The other places focus on the masses. Other places are okay for most people but LCs is the place for a refined BBQ palate.
I lived in KC for 30 years, sorry, but this guy's tongue must be missing. Just read the other reviews. Maybe, just maybe there was an issue with his order, or the service...but not the food. LC's surpasses even my old stand-by Gates. Their meats are lean, with a superb smoked flavor...burnt ends that could make a vegetarian turn carnivore, huge fall-off-the-bone ribs and a sauce that I have shipped to my new home in NYC. I'd love to talk to this guy...never have I had an issue. My wife doesn't like BBQ but swears by LC's? Think about it...
I respectfully disagree. This place is an untouched gem. The ribs and meat are smoked to perfection. The fries are probably the best that I've eaten. The other places are great for tourists, but for true BBQ connoisseur's, try LC's.
