Loved the food!: My husband and I really loved this restaurant. The ambiance was not its strong suit (though it was very clean and neat), but the food was delicious and different. We had five "small plates" between us. We had a cold asparagus dish that was delicious. The sauteed spinach on bruschetta was out of this world. I enjoyed portabella gratin. The goat cheese appetizer was a generous portion that we both shared. They have a long martini menu. My husband tried the lemon drop martini, and wow--it was smooth and wonderful! I am going to go again just so I can try a martini, too. I really love the basic Mediterranean ingredients--garlic, olive oil, a variety of cheese, nuts, and fresh vegetables. But each dish was distinctively different. I can't wait to go back and try the others.
No Bang for the Buck!!: Was greeted at the door by a Gracious Hostess and promtly seated. The Wine list and Menus were tossed on the table for our review. The Wine list was very expensive for its selections and the pour amount when ordered by the glass. Wines and water were served without bar naps and you had to be careful not to drip the condensation in your lap. The Waitress was wonderful and helpful. For my Small Bite (appetizer) selection was the sauteed clams and mussles which was delightful but lacked a bowl to discard the empty shells and was dificult to pick through. For my Big Bite (entree) selection I chose the Spice Rubbed Pork Tenderloin served on a bed of couscous. The presentation lacked Flare and as a meat selection which required one to slice with a knife this was served in a bowl. It was tricky to cut as there was no steak knife to use so I did my best with the butter knife. As for the Tenderloin, it lacked flavor, there wasn't even a hint of the spices that were rubed into it and it was served rare, being a pork dish it should be served at least medium rare unless asked for by the patron. This was way to expensive for the portion size $24.00 for 6 medallions. (This was pork ) I was going to try the deasert and an after dinner coffee but a party had a child that would let out a scream that would make your ears ring much to the delight of the waitress, Hostess and that party but myself and the two tables next to me I had enough. It was an unpleasent evening and expensive. Will I try it again? If I do I'll let you know
