We went to McCoyâs on a Saturday night and they were doing a booming business. We did not wait long to get a table and were promptly seated by our hostess. Our server came over and took our drink order in a timely manner however she did have a little bit of an attitude. We each ordered a different kind of beer, which I must say they have so many selections to choose from and seasonal micro brews from right there in the restaurant. We tried several different kinds and enjoyed each one we tried (I really liked the raspberry). We each had something different for dinner. I had the Everything Pizza which was just awesome! The crust was a great beer batter crust and not too thick all the meats on this pizza were just yummy! Another person in our party had the BBQ Brisket Pizza oh my this is to die for it was just wonderful! The flavors worked so well together and it was a great take on the KC BBQ thing. Another person had the Philibuster which was a huge sandwich with a ton of meat, cheese and sauce another great dish! The fries that came with it were very hot and pretty good for fries. There was also a chicken dish which was eaten at our table however sorry all I forget the name. The person, who ordered it did enjoy it, said the chicken was very moist and tasty. My only issue was the server had a little attitude every time we talked with her. I donât know if she was rushed or what. She got a little upset with me when I asked the difference between two side salads they had. I wouldnât have had to ask if they had put descriptions on the menu. However she did get our order right, did keep our drinks filled, and did thank us for coming. Oh I almost forgot about the Apple Dumpling dessert. You have got to try it if you go! It is an apple dumpling with wonderful cinnamon and sugar apples with ice cream and Red Hots (you know the candy) sauce. It is so good and the Red Hots sauce is very amazing on this dish. They do have a wonderful outdoor area to sit if the weather is nice. Overall this was a great place and I would return. The food is very good and the beer selection is one of the best around. For all you non beer drinkers donât worry there are plenty of other things to choose from including a full bar, soda, tea and fresh brewed root beer in which we had a glass and really enjoyed. This is a great spot for family, friends, dates you name it. Very casual and relaxed, great prices for nice portions, you will have a good time!
