| About: | If you are looking to see Kansas City back in the day when Charlie Parker roamed the streets looking for a jazz fix, stop by the Blue Room. Although the original Blue Room, where the Bird blew saxophone is long gone, this jazz joint is a fine replica of a 1930s club. Located in the historic 18th and Vine district, it is a bit of a museum, with pictures of greats covering the walls and relics of Kansas City's jazz era adorning the tables. Live music still gets the place swinging four nights a week. No food is available and smoking is not allowed, but a full bar is available. |

Awesome nite: I love the Blue Room. The atmosphere is perfect for Jazz and the Jazz!!!!!
Lisa Henry sang her heart out last nite. The quartet she sang with was phenomenal. Awesome Jazz drummer!
Fun: Bartenders are great. Music is decent. Crowd was a little much, but it was a good time. Met a few really cool people, and would go back.
Friday and Monday nights will never be the same!: This place is amazing for finding a great variety of people. Each 'circle' spans across the bar and meshes well on the awsome dancefloor. Some look with intrigue but never with judgement. It's a great place for to meet new people or have a great time with the people you already know.
