This place has totally changed since it moved. It certainly does not have the atmosphere, the good staff or even the same food like it did. It has become too corporate. I would not recommend that you eat there, unless you like poor service and poor food.

I'm amazed I'd never eaten there before having grown up in Brookside but to my delight I had my first meal there recently and it was fabulous! The chicken spedini was unbelievable! The house balsamic vinegarette was wonderful. Our help left a little to be desired (slow and inattentive). We were almost finished with our salads before the good garlic bread was served. The fettucini was the richest I believe I've ever eaten. I love the homey old Italian feel of the place. Definitely a worthwhile experience and I do plan on returning.

my italian mom would cry if i told her that this is the best food in the city! (you never tell an italian mom that her food isn't the best.) joe makes you feel like family and the food is great (family recipes and homemade quality- all of it). the rest of the staff become familiar to you quickly (his cousin patrick esp.) it's crowded often, but worth the wait, and joe or patrick will keep you engaged in conversation, as italians do so well.
