User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsFunkytown is a great place to let loose and have fun. There is a great mixture of people. I don't agree with "J"'s comments however. No club wants drinks on the dance floor, VIP is just that, VIP, and the lady at the door may be a little cranky but why let a little rain cloud spoil your night? We have always had a blast there and will continue to!

I will never go back to funky town again!
The people working at funky town are rude and up tight! I tried to go to the balcony and was rushed off as they said it was VIP. I had a drink in my hand on the dance floor and they said can't do that! So I sat on the corner of the empty stage and they said..cant sit there!..I touched the car wash prop..they said you can't touch that! I went to ask the manager for a refund on the cover charge..then The big bouncer jumped in and said "this is a one way conversation another word from you I will drag you out to the parkinglot!" That place is just a hole in the wall! I just left and will never go back!-

I love Funkytown! It is such a fun place to go and hang out with your friends. It doesn't matter if you go with a big or smaller group it is always a blast.
The drinks can be expensive but it depends on your poison of choice. :) You get alot for your money! $6 to get in at the door can also make anyone weary but once you are inside you can dance the night away, sit and chat with your friends, or people watch all the great moments.
I have not found a "club" quite like Funkytown and may not. It is definitely one of a kind. Go during the Halloween season and you will also be in for a treat! They perform skits and the best one? A Thriller reprise!

Funkey town does have a great mixture of people, Although one must be foolish if you would leave your drink unattended,Thats not smart! I never knew funkytown had a VIP..they should put up a sign..if that's a fact! Why would one want to go to a place with a cranky lady as you say..Although I thought she one of the nicer of the bunch. Well Teena..you keep going to that wonderful place.. I wish the best of luck to you!
