Great food! I love their beefy cheese dip and home made chips.
My husband and I went there last night. I had read the reviews and wasn't to surprised by much. Having to pay for usually complimentary chips and salsa was strange, but we didn't get them anyways. My husband and I each had a "dinner" and added rice and beans for $1.49 which wasn't bad. We both drank water. Our total bill was $31.00. I don't think we could afford to take our whole family there, but it was fine for just us. The place was really clean and well kept. The service was good too. I don't like spicy food so it was perfect for me. My husband who likes spicy food thought it was very good overall. There was a lot of food too! We were over all pleased. The parking lot was horrible though, we drive a big SUV and had a heck of a time with the small parking spaces. You can park on the street but there were no spaces available. The bathrooms were upstairs along w/ a beer garden, but we didn't go in there; it was crowded. It was nice to take a "tour" to the bathroom and see the beautiful old mansion. I would recommend this place but not if you are taking a big family and are on a budget, perhaps a special occasion.
I spent this past weekend in St. Jo and decided to check this out despite the mixed reviews. I decided to give it a thorough taste and got the chips and salsa, the sampler platter and a margarita. Out of everything I tried I thought the margarita was the pretty good, the salsa was good(but not the chips) and the tacos were pretty good. everything was deep fried and covered with american cheese except the bland tamale. If you are passing through and decide to try this place out expect to pay out your nose and be pretty unimpressed.

Yes the food is great.I got to agree with you there.Knowing that the parking is limted and that there's some that parks on the side streets or where ever they decided to park.Myself.I never really got the tour of the bathrooms. heard that the rest of the building is very clean.I had there chicken enchiladas for the first time about a month ago and they were pretty good.I noarmly go after the tacos and they are even good as well. The prices that you were sayen. At least that I got to agree with you there.
