Tokyo Steak House

There's nothing good to say about this restaurant. The sushi tasted day old and looked slimy. The teppan-yaki (where a chef prepares your food at a grill in front of you) was bland and not authentic, and the dishes for soy sauce were dirty. The soy sauce dispenser, itself, was filthy. The racket in this restaurant is ear-shattering -- if you're over the age of 25, you will not like it. The rice tastes like minute rice - no exaggeration. The soup that starts the meal, is spaghetti thrown into a bland chicken broth - there's nothing Japanese about it.

Let me emphasize, the sushi and sashimi were simply low quality (the conch was slimy and inedible) and all the food lacked flavor. I've spent time in Japan and have eaten a lot of good Japanese food, but neither I nor my eight guests found anything good about the Tokyo Steak House.

If you're thinking you will impress a Japanese friend or visitor, think again! They will go away longing to make a beeline to the real Tokyo.

It's the best Japanese Steak House in KC. Good food. Way better price than those Plaza steakhouses. Excellent every time!

I absolutely love this place. My husband and I practically go there every other weekend or so ...The chef there know our names ..My hubby loves the filet and I adore their sushi. The servers are friendly, the chefs are hilarious and talented, what else could you ask for??? Absolutely, definitely recommend this place ...
