California Elementary School

First of all I want to say that I love the school and I feel like my child get's a good education here. So in saying that I am not bashing the school or any teacher's. But please explain to me how the public school can hiring a teachers aid that only got her GED a few months before stating to work there, lives outside of our school sysetem and her children can go to our school not the school where they live. I did go to the school board and was told that with only a GED and no kind of other education they can be a teachers aid if they only sit with the kid or take the kid to the bathroom or walk with the kid down the hall. However this teacher aid does more than that and knows nothing of working with special children. This is not a good thing for our school system nor for that child. Just wanted people to know.
