Ranch House Restaurant Barbecue

My husband and I found this restaurant friendly and the food was okay. I guess what really made our visit to this restaurant and several others when we were in Missouri ... smoking was allowed. I am a manager of a Chili's restaurant that went non-smoking three years ago. At first we thought we would lose alot of business, but what we found out very fast was that we didn't lose any business at all. Most of the smokers realize that they are out numbered. People would come up to me and say how refreshing our restarant it now. So whenever we travel now, I make sure not to dine where there is smoking...which isn't too many left. Maybe Missouri will catch up with the rest of the country!

Always a favorite - don't miss: The Ranch House is a family-owned restaurant and you can tell it by the attention to every detail. Great decor and atmosphere, clean, friendly, great food, good prices. Absolutely the best steaks in Southwest MO.

We go everytime we are in the area.: This place has good BBQ and good steaks. Whether you go for a quick sandwich or a full dinner,it's worth the drive! We go through Carthage a lot and always stop at The Ranch House. The folks are real nice and the place is usually pretty full--that's how you can tell the food is good. If you go,check out the light fixtures,and "ambience" as you wait for your food!
