An Ozark Favorite: I live in the area, and this is one of my favorite places to eat. My wife & I brought our families here for supper the day before our wedding. It's a little off the beaten path, but the atmosphere is one-of-a-kind and the food and service are always excellent. Great sandwiches, gourmet burgers, chicken, etc. The waffle fries and the sweet & sour cole slaw are also excellent. It's a nice, laid-back, family kind of place out in the natural beauty of the Ozarks. A must for any visitor to the region, and a sure favorite for locals.

Worth a trip from Springfield, esp for train fans!: Well-saturated in rich history, spectacular food quality, impressive service and the Undercliff Cafe rolls out a large welcome mat (including a friendly black lab that won't beg for your food) for all of its constituents! The 1950's era of music, travel and fun resonate against the natural granite backdrop that shows the restaurant's architectural uniqueness and appeal and beckons you to come again and again! We eagerly await our next return visit. The food is well-priced, delicious and worth every bite! It's a superb highlight to a trip to the George Washington Carver Museum (10 minute drive) and has easy access to Rt. 71. And if you're a railfan, the KCS is right across the street, a perfect setting for a wonderful meal!

Great Biker Hangout: This place has great food, even serves breakfast. It's build into the side of a cliff and one wall of it is the cliff, where sometimes water trickles down the wall. I've never had the same waitress twice, new ones all the time and they are always great. You can also eat outside on the verandah, where it's screened in and a nice black dog greets you but he don't bother you. He's pretty quiet and lets you pet him then he lays down. Plus it has some nice curvy biking roads to get there and pretty scenery. One of my favorite bike destinations.
