The classic diner experience: Kaja's Diner is classic Americana. The atmosphere is awesome - from the art deco lighting and vintage formica tables to the Velvet Elvises, pool tables, and awesome soda-fountain counter. The service is prompt and friendly, and if you come more than twice they know your favorite order.

That classic American institution, the hamburger, is done right at Kaja's. Whether you opt for the regular hamburger or cheeseburger or go for the Big Hickory burger (with barbecue sauce, grilled onions, pickle, and cheese), you won't be disappointed. Order a basket of Suzies (curly french fries) on the side and you're eating some of the best food anywhere.

If you're a bit more hungry, the larger dinners won't disappoint you either. Shrimp, chicken, catfish - it's all here.

Then Kaja's also offers classic limeades - not just Sprite with a chunk of lime thrown in like Sonic, but actual fresh-squeezed limeades. Regular or with a shot of cherry or strawberry, they're tough to beat.

The ice cream, sodas, malts, root beer floats, shakes, and pies and cobblers are also top-notch. Add to that the fact that you can order your favorite latte or espresso to go with dessert, and you've got a perfect place for dating your high-school sweetheart or taking the whole family for a relaxing dinner. And the great thing about Kaja's is you'll have enough cash left when you're done to go to a movie or to the bowling alley afterward.

My wife and I consider Kaja's to be one of our favorite places. You will, too.
