User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsTypical "Mexican" food. It's not really Mexican food and it is easy to cook something on par with the quality of the food. Not much flavor and an 'expanded tacobell' menu. It's great if you like that sort of thing or if you have low expectations. I think the prices are a bit high, but what do I know.

ElMaguey is not real mexican food - All the dishes are covered with a bland red sauce. Also, El Maguey is notorious for getting horrible reviews from the health inspector - Eat at your own risk
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsEl Maguey is a great Mexican restuarant!! It's obviously not what you would get if you went south of the border, but personally I couldn't handle it when I was there. I found El Maguey's to be a great place to eat and it wasn't as harsh as going to Mexico. They have awesome food and a wonderful staff. If you're not a mexican food lover, but are going with one; I suggest the Grilled Chicken salad. It has Grilled Fajita chicken, onions, mushrooms, lettuce, cheese, and you can get Ranch dressing with it. It's a great dish. Also try the fried ice cream! definately a great ending to an awesome meal! Enjoy it!! I know I always do!!
