    I live in Saint Louis, MO and often come to Jefferson City to work as a consultant. Any time I want a good, home-style meal, Mel's is where I go. Nowhere else in Jefferson City have I found true home-style cooking. It is not a 5-star restaurant with 5-star surroundings. However, it does not have 5-star prices either. It is a diner. Highly recommended.

    Great homestyle place!: Wonderful food, great atmosphere, attentive staff, reasonably priced. You MUST try this place if you crave homestyle food. It's GREAT!
