KMFDM and Combichrist @ The Blue Note: I can't say that I have been to the blue note very many times. But I went a few nights ago to a show with an Industrial Metal band and a Punk band. And I have to say I was really impressed with not only the bands them self but just the atmosphere. I have been to large scale Rock Concerts such as the family values tour this summer. But nothing in a small setting and honestly the smaller the setting the bit more nerve raking because, since it closer surrounding you get the feeling that something can happen to you a lot more easily. Well even though I was there for about four hours at least by self. I felt extremely at ease and conferrable. I had never heard music like Combichrist and I really loved their style. And found my self head bopping and dancing along with the rest of the audience by at least the third set.
I did end losing a bit of my voice and probably some of my hearing for the night to but thatÂ’s to be expected after any rock concert. I really hope that KMFDM and Combichrist decide to come back to Columbia very soon.
I am really looking forward to going back to The Blue Note with friends for the Flogging Molly concert on the 23rd of this month.
Always a great time: I have been going to The Blue Note for some time now and I still can't really complain. I always have such a great time. They have such a variety of bands so you can always find someone you like and want to go see, and their shows are always resonable in price. They have the balcony, which is AWESOME and then the floor of course, Im a front of the stage kinda girl, so you'll always catch me right in the middle of the chaos, it's freakin' GREAT!!!
Not Another Like It...: Not only does the Blue Note manage to book bands that you would think would be at a much larger venue, but they also manage to keep us local DEADHEADS in mind by booking The Schwag and other shows of the sort with the perfect enviorment
