The vets are pretty nice there, but I was not impressed with the cool attitude about some life threatening problems my dog was having. It just seemed too "business as usual" to me. They seemed very quick to suggest getting a second opinion, as if they were not sure of their diagnosis. I felt uncomfortable with their attitude. The prices for vaccinations are reasonable. They are busy, and I had to wait nearly 30 minutes past my appointment time. The place is fairly clean, but it does have a strong smell. When we picked up our dog from boarding it there, he was wet and smelly. I guess they hose them off before pickup.
The care for Noahâs Ark has been nothing short of wonderful for all of my pets (dogs and cats). Iâve had two cats die in the past 18 monthsâ¦one from a combination of age and response to insulin (he was diabetic), and one from FIP. When my first cat had a kidney blockage and the initial problems associated with diabetes, Dr. Greg came in after hours and worked on him, as did other workers. I give credit to their effort that gave me a more time with my beloved cat. When my second cat was diagnosed with FIP, these wonderful people were both genuinely upset and considerate. Even in their illnesses and eventual deaths, my memories of my pets is better knowing how well they and I were treated at Noahâs Ark. I have recommended this office to all of my friends; they will by my veterinarians as long as I live in Columbia.
Highly recommended!
I've been taking my dogs to Dr. Greg for the last four years. He has provided top-notch care to them and, moreover, is one of the most compassionate veterinarians I've ever encountered.
When my 13 1/2 year old dog subluxed his hip, rather than recommending surgery (which would have cost me $2000) he suggested that Pepper would have less disability and shorter convalescence if we simply left the joint alone and let it form a pseudo-joint on its own. I was skeptical at first but decided to try Dr. Greg's advice. Pepper lived another 2 years, did fine on that hip without surgery. In fact, I think that hip gave him less problem than the one that had previously been operated on back East. Most vets would have simply done what I asked, but Dr. Greg put the dog's best interest first.
Needless to say, I'll be taking my dogs to Noah's Ark for as long as I live in Columbia.
