First off-to 'Disappointed"-the owner does not feel that he is better than people with disabilites. That was just the way the place was built. Although there is no way to get to the bathroom-I do agree this is a problem, and we are working on it-but we have people in wheelchairs eat there all the time. It may take a little longer to get inside but it is still possible. We have a lot of cusomers that are elderly. This is way the new addition has been added, because many of them cannot do the stairs. As for the parking lot, it is a work in progress. There are also plans for that, just so you know. There is also handicap parking too. Maybe if you had a different attitude you would be able to see all the good things about the place instead of thinking only of the negative.
I'm just glad Missouri Hick is not in my town because I'd spend too much money! Outstanding food at a good price. There have been times the ribs weren't the best, but the food is almost always delicious. One time the ribs tasted bad and they cooked up another batch for us and they were just fine. Not sure what happened with the first batch but the second was normal. The BBQ sauce is awesome as well!
I have eaten at MO Hick on several occasions and the food is great, however when it comes to the owner and the accessibility of his resturant, I was greatly disappointed. The owner of this resturant seems to believe he is better those who have a disbility that requires the use of wheelchair or walker. I have many friends who use wheelchairs and are forced to eat take out from this resturant rather than enjoy the atmosphere while they dine there. The owner seems to think that the number of people who can't get in his resturant don't amount to enough business to fix the problem. I have news for the owner, people with disabilities like to eat BBQ too. If his resturant was accessible more people would likely come there. As of right now I don't think someone in a wheelchair could get through the door, let alone use the restroom. The parking lot is another joke. Wheelchairs don't go well in gravel!! There is not even designated handicapped parking. There are laws out there that this "respectable" business owner is supposed to follow, but obviously someone forgot to tell him. I will not be eating at this resturant again until the man comes to his senses and sees all people as equals and fixes his business so that everyone can come in!!!!
