When i ate at the bell my breakfast was very good, and there was plenty of it. If you do not like the smoking part there is a nonsmoking part. I dont think it needs updating because it would ruin the whole 1950's vibe. It was a very homey place and i would eat here anytime im in lebanon.
I visit the Bell Restaurant daily. Owner Darrell Martin is also the owner of the Oasis Truck Stop at the I-44, exit 145. The Bell lacks cleanliness and the smoke is somewhat thick, but he serves a good meal at a reasonable price. This is one of the true Route 66 restaurants. Relatively unchanged since it was built by original owner, Clint Bell in 1964. Servers are very pleasant, down to earth and most are experienced. Kind of like old home week. Worth the stop. Don't forget to try the BBQ Ribs!!!!
Beware of the smoke.: We were the only ones in the place that weren't smoking. Really is a step
back in time.
