| About: | When it is time to pull out all the stops and get away from the buffets and the frantic pace of the Strip, this is the place to go. Dark cherry-wood paneling divides the large dining room into romantic and private dining settings. A patio overlooks Lake Taneycomo and, at night, the lights of Branson, which shimmer in the summer heat. The chef specializes in French cuisine, but he must carry a minor degree in Creole cooking. Many of his creations offer more than a hint of Cajun seasoning. The menu is one of those "if you have to ask, you can not afford it" affairs, but the prices are well worth it for the great food, setting and service you receive. The grilled rack of lamb ($28) comes with an apple-mint chutney and is wading in cassis juice. |

i love this resturaunt. it can be kind of pricy but it is worth it. there is a great view of taneycomo and it is all around great food.
Wonderful Restaurant: In 1972 my wife and I became engaged at the CSI. It was much more modest and simple fare then. However, on a recent trip to BigCedar south of the Branson area, we had a terrific dinner at Candlestick once again. The double lobster is superb as were the Beef Tournedos. Highly Highly recommend. The view of the new Branson landing and "old" Branson (plus the sunset) is still nice. JB/PB.........January 2006
Romantic with wonderful food!!!: My husband and I eloped and had our own personal reception at the Candlestick. The food was wonderful!! I had the filet and lobster tail. I had my sauces served on the side and I'm glad because the flavor was great without it. The average plate ran $30 to $50 and the appetizers were $10 and up. I was super satisfied with the management and servers but could do without the rude little hostess girls. The pastry chef was spectacular!! He made our desert special and decorated our plates with chocolate congratulations. The view will be better in 2006- they are updating the riverfront with a 4million dollar renovation. I'm glad we had reservations- otherwise we would've ended up @ the bar or on the balcony.
I would definitely go back for a special occasion but too expensive for an everyday meal for me :)
