| About: | This classic Italian restaurant is proof that looks can be deceiving. Although it is located in a mammoth roadhouse (it was once a feed store), the interior is anything but hillbilly. The dining room is a virtual art gallery and you can almost here the Mediterranean mandolins in the distance. Spaghetti and meatballs anchor the menu, but other non-Italian dishes are also available, some of which have been given a bit of old country flavor. Even the chicken noodle soup has hints of basil, oregano and garlic. The raviolis here are worth a try, especially if you get them smothered in Alfredo-wine sauce. |

We were very excited to go here based on the reviews. Boy were we disappointed! The hostess was bussing tables, checking people out at the register, and struggling to keep up with the modest crowd. The atmosphere was fine, but they appeared to need some more staff. There were over 5 tables available but just not cleaned and several parties waiting. When we were seated the server was very distracted and unpersonable. They were out of the special for the night, then after ordering were told they were out of eggs and so couldn't make that dish either. My spaghetti and meatballs didn't have enough sauce on it, the meatballs did taste good, but then the waitress added the bill up wrong by $10. I will never go back here again. The food has promise, but the staffing and administrative situation needs to be remedied!!!!
I am angry and sick for the food I ate in this joint. Bruschetta, I asked for one and the waitress brought 2 servings and charged me $24 for it.
The pizza, $11, I could not eat it, and they say that even when it is bad it is good! This was bad.
The linguine with pesto, with more olive oil then pesto and no parmesan cheese. They had a sour aftertaste, my girlfriend could not eat them. The waitress was rude and after paying $85 for a very sad dinner I felt robbed. Do yourself a favor, don't go. Instead go to Lucali Brick Oven 575 Henry St (and Carroll) Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. Or
Kesté Pizza & Vino 271 Bleecker St. New York, NY just around the corner.
I'm on my way back to Branson this weekend and had to comment on this place. My wife and I planned a special trip last year with Rocky's being the "big" dinner of the weekend. I read lots of favorable reviews on the net and was excited to go. WE WERE TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED! Service was super slow, portions were small, prices were high and it was far from good Italian food. I have never been so disappointed with a meal. Be careful when you trust these reviews. I did and got screwed.
