Fun for ALL! - Kids or Collectors-PLAY BALL!!: PLAY BALL! Cards & Collectibles on HWY 76 strip in Branson Missouri, is a MUST NOT MISS visit while in Branson. Owner John Storm, has brought a sit-down, sort-thru atmosphere that also supports the high-end, serious collectors interests as well.
My visit started out right. Mr. Storm greeted my family with a smile, a welcome, a handshake then took the time to LISTEN to each of our (4 of us) interests. He followed thru with what was available to EACH of us and particular interest.
Something caught my attention. While there, I noticed Mr Storm working hard to not have anyone in his place of business feel ignored, whether a kid or a heavy spending Investor/Collector. In my eye, all who were there were made to feel at home and very welcome. This made me want to stay all day!
PLAY BALL carries a wide variety of collectibles, ranging from single cards, to packs, to the very exquisite Highland Mint Memorabilia Collection Editions. This variety makes it a pleasant visit for most anyone's interest AND budget.
While there, I noticed customers coming in and mentioning in conversation that they had been in a month or two before while on vacation. John greeted them by first name!! These folks were not locals, but only 2nd time visitors! I was impressed. I will also be making many return trips to PLAY BALL!.
Of all the stores I visited in the Branson / Springfield area who carried similar products, PLAY BALL! was THE single stop I made where TIME for the customer was as much a product available, as anything else for sale. That "time" was made for us as customers, not just tourists. Much more, you quickly notice that PLAY BALL! is not just a place with hats, glasses & ball-point pens that look like baseball bats!! I quickly noticed a "difference" that puts PLAY BALL! head and shoulders above other similar places of business. That difference is the owner John Storm. Likened to my family's experience, I saw John take customers, and make them friends. Some of us had such a good experience that we are close to being considered family! What better treatment, not to mention respect, could anyone ask for their family?
When I compare PLAY BALL! to a couple of the new shops in nearby Branson Landing, they all lose!! Those owners need to make a visit to PLAY BALL! It would not take long for them to see that John Storm & PLAY BALL! know how to establish, treat, and KEEP customers. WAY TO GO PLAY BALL!!!
Visitors should make PLAY BALL! a MUST STOP during visits to Branson. If you don't stop in for your kids, then by all means stop in for the kid still in you! You will see clearly that John Storm has kept a true place for "The Love of The Game", both in his hiobby AND in his business.
THANK YOU John Storm and PLAY BALL! for a very memorable time for me & my family!! We'll be seeing you again soon!

I too have visited John's place of business while in Branson on vacation. I first visited in 1996 with my son. We were both into hockey at the time. john was more than willing to share with us is vast hockey collections available. I felt right at home as he allowed my son and I to sift through a plethora of cards and collectibles. I've since been back three times and every time he remembers are names. I will frequent his store again some day. A trip to Branson would not be colmplete without a visit to John's store. Congratulations to John for creating a pleasant atmosphere to shop and purchase. I hope to be there again soon.
can someone please tell me the hour off his shop?
