Landry's is too expensive.
I ordered jumbo shrimp. I was supposed to get 7 jumbo shrimp. I got 1 jumbo shrimp and 6 largish shrimp. All 7 were overcooked to the point of being rubbery. The taste was very fresh, but the crusty batter tore up the roof of my mouth. For the price, I thought that it should have been prepared properly.
My dining companion had a similar experience with his rockfish. The fish tasted very fresh, but it could have been prepared better.
Our appetizers were terrible. The fondu was cooked to separation and the spinach artichoke dip had a similar problem.
The house salad was nice.
My complaint is that we paid $70 for two people which we don't mind so long as the food is cooked properly. It seemed like they must have been training new cooks that night since our food was so poorly prepared.
One of my favorite restaurants in Branson. A bit more expensive than the usual fare in Branson but well worth it in light of what you get in return. There is a steep hill to walk up from the parking lot (this is a part of the Ozark "mountains" remember) but I always let my family off at the door and make the walk myself. You might as well get some exercise before and after dipping your lobster or crab in that yummy melted butter right.
This is a great seafood place. The atmosphere is awesome. Very Elligant, but when the ticket came i just about fainted. I have never spent so much on food in my life. And never will again! This is a once in a life time great place to eat (unless you are rich of course)..
