All you people who think this place is great, whatever, it's ok. I agree with the others who say that there is no good Mexican in Springfield...until I found Tortillias on Republic Rd. It is very good Tex Mex style food, if you are familiar with places in Austin and Dallas like Pappasitos or Chuys, this is along those lines. If you like your food HOT, you have to ask for this pepper mix that you put into or onto whatever you're eating. Fabulous!
I have decided since moving to Springfield that I am spoiled when it comes to good food. We are from Texas/Louisana where delicious food of all types are available almost everywhere. Acambara's food was so bad we could not eat it. The rice tasted as if it were straight from a can. Acambara is not the only place we have gotten really bad food in Springfield. So far only the steak houses have had limited tasty fare. Our taste buds are accustomed to good southern cooking, wonderful tex-mex, delicious chinese food, etc..... We really like the Springfield area but are sorely disappointed in the quality and taste of restaurant fare available. It takes the same effort to creat great food as it does the really bad. I always share with others when I experience good food. Come on restaurants in Springfield, kick it up a notch and I will praise your good food to everyone. I would love to be able to take guest that come to visit for a delicious meal in Springfield. Our guest would then share with others what a wonderful time they had in Springfield eating great food.
One of the top 3 Tex Mex joints in town. Salsa is good as is the service.
