We have eaten at 3 other Japanese restaurants in Springfield; this was the worst. We were influenced by all the great ratings by local publications & were very disappointed. Apparently the persons doing the ratings have never been to Haruno's. The sushi was dry & lacking in flavor, seemed to have been prepared the day before. Our meals were not good. I had the Salmon Teriyaki, & my wife had the Salmon. They were both burned to a crisp, & too dry to eat.Their idea of Salmon Teriyaki was to bring a small dish of Teriyaki sauce with the regular Salmon order. To complete the meal we received about 5 green beans & about 4 small slices of mushrooms. After spending about $145 for 4 adults & 1 child, we felt like we needed to go somewhere & get something to eat

So wonderful! My husband is military, so we travel a lot and we love sushi, so we've eaten it everywhere from FL to CA and I have never had better sushi than at Haruno. We currently live in OKC and have made the 5 hour trip several times, just for the sushi! The Ichiban and the Miami are killer.
