User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsWheatfields was struck by lighting in 2002 if again they deserve it.and tax payers money will not reconstruct it also..
I had a bad experience with the employee manager,saying we should all get out of here because the price of grain is going up and I wouldn't waste a dime on buying there dry bread that ends up in the trash at the end of the day because nobody eats fungus bread.the bread that they make in a loaf promotes fungus and mold and the manager complains and actually insults customers once and a while and say's get out of here with instense hateful flair. and says the grain prices are going up..
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWe love this bakery. The walnut sage bread is unbelievable! We live several hours away but go as often as we can and freeze what we can eat right away. Also visit the Merc while in the area. You can buy wheatfields bread there also.

We look forward to every visit to Wheatfieds: We do not live in Lawrence, but we enjoy all the good food from Wheatfields. We have tried the sandwiches, which my favorite is the Roasted Turkey with cranberry on it. The Bread plates, Lemon tarts, fruit tarts, and many other great desserts.. The people who work there are always right there to help, they are busy at times, but we think they do a fantastic job. Our hats off to you Wheatfields, you've got a delicious business, and we will recommend you to all!
