Okay. There are some good things about Don Wessel. The salespeople were always polite to me and they were happy to let me test drive without the hassle of having to make copies of the drivers license/insurance information. Having said that, I would only go there to test drive a Honda and not to buy. They are ridiculously over-priced. I guess it's worked for them in the past, but as researching vehicles online has become easier, I think this will start to be a problem for them. There are numerous dealerships within 300 miles who offer better prices. I recently purchased a used Honda, which I bought in Kansas. Wessel had the same car with 6000 fewer miles, but it's condition (even being the highly touted 'Honda Certified') was not as good. I bought my car for almost $6000 LESS than what they were asking, which was nearly $4000 over the NADA recommended price. (Which, FYI, is what insurance companies will go off off if your car is damaged or needs to be totaled from an accident and what most independent credit unions use to evaluate how much to loan you for a particular car.) That's insane! Why would any intelligent person spend MORE than the car is actually worth to replace? I spent less than $160 including gas, a rental car and an independent inspection (by another Honda dealership in KS) for my car and it was well worth the effort. Do yourself a favor if you want a Honda and shop around. I promise you that you can find a better car and price elsewhere.

I would not recommend Don Wessel Honda to anyone period. When you think of customer service you would think they are there to make the customer happy and better, not worse. Instead of helping me out of a problem they made my problem worse. They are NOT customer driven or care that they preform poorly!! If I need any work that has to be done by a authorized deal I will happy drive else where!

We had our Honda repaired at Wessel's BODY SHOP after someone backed into us in a parking lot. I dropped the car off on Monday and was told it would take three days to repair. I called Wednesday to check on it and was told it was in the service department. Of course they could not find anything wrong with the car! WRONG ANSWER! The BODY SHOP called me Thursday morning and gave me the estimate on some extras I wanted done, but the never told me the car was ready. I called back that evening to inquire as to my car's status and was told it was finished, as a matter of fact it was ready when I got the first phone call, but I was not informed of that small fact. When my wife picked up the car it has some sort of glue under the hood and there was still buffing compound between the hood and the fenders as they didn't even was the car after buffing it. Very poor customer service as well. I will NEVER take my car back to this "Dealer" again. I would recommend you not either.
