A great store for quality food. Handmade sausages that don't use fillers, like the Johnsonville brats do. Have a sausage here, and you will never go back to those nasty Johnsonvilles ever again.
Amazing food and excellent service.: This store is wonderful, I recently found it not 4 blocks away from my house and I can say I've been overly pleased with every aspect of the store. Their sausages are the best I've ever had, they serve them grilled to perfection on a street corner outside the store on Saturdays, but you can also get them inside to grill on your own. They will cut to order any meat you want, even if they don't carry it they can order it. They also make sandwiches and carry a nice selection of sliced meats and cheeses along with a lot of German specialties that my parents haven't been able to find anywhere else. I'm not sure what the previous reviewer meant, but both of the owners were amicable and more than helpful. Awesome place, I'm hooked for life.
Rude Female Owner: I live over forty five minutes from Werner and when I phoned the night before to ask them to save me what was left of their tillsiter cheese the owner refused to set some aside for me. I've been one of their best customers and used them when my daughter was getting married for all our food. I have been a customer with them for at least 15 years and they still acted as if they didn't know who I was when I called. Of course when I arrived to shop the next day, the cheese I wanted was all gone. I asked her in person and she was very rude to me and said that she had said, "no" over the phone already. I was so happy when I arrived but left in tears. I still spent nearly a hundred dollars and she didn't even thank me. If this wasn't the only German Specialty store around I wouldn't even go, my experience was so bad. I'm German and have lived in the U.S. of A. for 39 years and find it difficult to find someplace that carries the items that I crave.

they cannot put aside seasonal items, because people will reserve some, and then never come and pick it up, then they are left with whatever they didn't sell, and it just sits and goes bad after the holidays. If you want something like that ask if they have a lot in stock, then go and get some if they do. If they don't have much in stock, then don't go simply to buy some cheese that they may be out of. There are reasons that they can't hold certain items, it's not personal, it's just for business reasons.
