the sales people were awesome so friendly and had immediate response when i called about a car. they gave me a greate deal and i have nothing but good out of my Kia. i see all the past reviews they were nothing like that to me.
I have bought 2 cars from this dealership my 1st car was a 2000 Chevy Lumina and then my second which i still have is a 2005 Chevy Malibu. Now I have had this car for 2 years now and I paid 11,000.00 for the car, and I still owe 9,000.00 on the car with payments of 285.00 a month. Now when i called about why the payments where so high I was told that i had a intrest loan and that I only 3% of my car note was going towards my note and the rest was intrest. Now that it is 2009 and i im ready to trade it back in with them they will not take it because of the situation they put me in, They want my 2005 car plus 2,000.00 towards a down payment. And they tell me that my car is only worth about 3,000.00 so i talked to another dearlership who told me that they pretty much screwed me that i had 2 options to keep paying on it for the next 5 years or give the car back and then try to get another car. I just think that i should have been treated better, I was young and trying to build my credit up and they have truly put me deep in a hole that i did not ask to be in.
I DO NOT RECOMMED THAT ANYONE GOES HERE TO GET A CAR!!!
My family purcahsed a Kia Sedona (van) from SMKia. we really like the van, but our purchasing process went south really quick just after we signed on the dotted line.
We really enjoyed the immediate sales expereince and vehicle so we recommended a family friend to purcahse there as well and she did. Within the KIA referral program, customers receive $100 for each referral. Our friend made her purchase in February and we still do not have a check after contacting our salesman repeatdely in regard to this. He reassured us just last week that we would receive it in the mail because he had it in his hands on Friday, but we were out of town and couldn't pick it up so I asked him to mail it. Still no check. I called a sales manager today and know he reassured me that they will have one mailed to me by Tuesday is it was not already mailed. I am waiting to see if this will be broken promise number 3 within this particular fiasco.
First, we were led to believe that we were receiving an added option at no cost to us (dvd player). Come to find out (which was my own fault) after reviewing all of the paperwork the price of the dvd was figured into our bill. SMKia was offering a $5,000 cash back deal off of the sticker price or negotiated price. we got our $5,000 off, but that was after figuring in the option as well as some bogus shipping and stocking fees to make our van a flipping porsche price.
Second;
My first experience with their service department was interesting as well. I called to see if I could get a courtesy ride to my home after I dropped off our van to get the dvd player installed and they said sure and we will pick you up when your van is done. So I showed up early that morning (7:30 AM) and to my surprise they didnt have the shuttle service operating that day, but I was more than welcome to wait (what else am I going to do). After the DVD player was installed, I found that they created a dent in the top of the van where they installed the DVD player. They said they would fix it and they did on a later date where I didnt request a shuttle service knowing what would probably happen again and they offered to touch up a few new scratches in the back bumper that we had with some touch up paint if I would agree to a carwash and vaccum of the van for $10. I said sure. Four hours later they were done popping the dent out and washing the van. To my surprise the scratches were not touched up and when I asked them about it, they said they didnt have the paint but could order it for me. Why and the heck did you tell me you would touch it up then if i agreed to a car wash when you didnt even have the paint.
So I paid some $30 for touch up paint to be picked up later. I am very pleased that I didnt have my 2 year old daughter there with me that day because the colorful language that they salesmen were making in their showroom area. REAL PROFESSIONAL!
Third;
I received a call that our touch up paint was in. I went to pick it up about a month later and mysteriously it was not in and they didnt even have a record of my purcahse until they pulled up my name and found that I purcahsed a van with them. They asked me if I already paid for it and I said yes. Their response. "Well the best I can do for you is have one here for you in 5 business days." Thanks Again SMKia.
Our car salesman had been a "peach" throughout this entire process, but I will not say anything about that.
Needless to say, we won't purcahse again from SMKIA.

Wow, 6 reviews, only one is good and the remaining 5 are all one star. That makes me not want to even drive past their lot, let along go in and do business with them. Thanks everyone for the heads up on this place.
