User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsits fun reading all of the reviews because Guy and Mae are my great grandpa and grandma. everyone that works there is family or a close family friend. i love going there everything is so good and my friends BEG me to take them there. the town is small and on friday and saturday nights its really busy!!! it is so worth the wait!

Drop-dead-to-die-for Pork Ribs! We only get to visit Williamsburg every year or few. It's 2 hours away and not on the way to anywhere we need to go...except when we want a really great slab (yes...SLAB) of ribs. It's been 7 years and last Saturday, we just decided to go for it, jumped in the car and drove from SW MO...just for the ribs! The sauce is home made and adds the right amount of flavor to the smoke cooked into the meat...though no sauce is really needed. The serving method (foil wrapped slab, 3-4 slices of fresh white bread across the ribs all carried out on newspaper) lets you know that dressing for dinner is not a requirement...unless you mean bringing your own wet wash cloth (or towel...depending on your rib-eating technique). The sides are good too but I go for the ribs and a good cold beer (duuh). Next time you're in the mood for a relaxing road trip with a great reward at the destination...check out Guy & Mae's Tavern (G-M Tavern).

From Hailey P:I went with Grandpa and Grandma to try Guy and Mae's. I'm 9 years old and a redheaded firecracker and these ribs were an explosion in my mouth. I think I put on 2 pounds eating there.They have a jukebox with Hannah Montana music and old dude music.They even have an arcade game there that looked like fun. I loved the place!
