Food was excellent. Service was handled by a lone waitress, but she seemed capable of handling the groups that were there. The ONLY problem is that they don't accept credit cards. As a traveller, I don't carry much cash; this place used up over 10% of my travel cash. Would have preferred to be able to charge our meal.
By all means stop in and get a combination plate.-

This family oriented BBQ joint has been my family's favorite for over 20 years. It's a couple miles east of the big chain joints out at The Legends/Village West, but it's worth the drive. The ribs are great, the sauce is the perfect combo of sweet with a tang. If I don't want the ribs, I go for a great sandwich, a combo Jayhawker with onion rings. Service is friendly, it's a family place!
