Houlihans on 95th is the best place to go after work. They have cheap drinks ALWAYS not only during certain times. Their appatizers are TO DIE FOR, I strongly recommend the Tuna Wontons and the Brushetta!! My mouth is watering just talking about them! And appetizers are only $5 during "Happy Hour" which is during two windows of time, somwhere around 3 - 7 and then again from 10 - closing so no problem getting there on time...it is a very young and busy place so not the place to go if you want peace and quiet (especially on a Thursday night), but extremely good food and excellent drink prices. Nice outdoor seating too.
Average food, average service: I've been 3 times in the last year. My order always comes last, after they've served the rest of the table and they realize one order is forgotten. When food does come, it's often not the way I ordered it. A simple matter for me to remove the tomato from my sandwich, but I should get the food as I wanted it. Food is usually good, once I get it!
Hoohrah For Houlihans: I love this place! Everyone is friendly and helpful and the food is delicious. Most all their dishes are made from scratch giving even a picky eater an exciting choice. The Tucan salad was a rare treat. The Trout Almondine was a boneless filet and a substitute vegtable was provided. I has asparagus. Wheelchair parking is so easy and there are smiling young people holding the doors everytime. It is kind of noisy, the bar and large screen TV. is popular and the new decor is a welcome change. I cheated happily on a Mini Capacino Cake topped with a Mini scoop of ice cream and tiny chocolate morsals.
