    I'm not quite sure what the problem was, but after sitting for thirty minutes on Sunday, May 18, around 6:30, no one came to provide service. That was probably the last time we will go there!!!! The waitress seemed to be more interested in the person with whom she was chatting!

    Over the years, I've had the satisfying pleasure of pratronizing Jake's Place bar and grill. I found the atmosphere to be appropriate and decently acceptable for an indiviual, as well as being quite proper for an average sized gathering. You'd have to look for nearly half an hour in the Kansas City metropolitan area to find this combination of adequate service, fair food and extraordinarily nominal atmosphere. Jake's Place provides you with a well known and unexceptional feeling of being sufficiently intoxicated in a tolerable tavern, along with the appropriate and passable company of the other patrons.

    I LOVED THIS BAR: Jakes Place is the bets bar that I have ever been to. It combines great dining expereance with all the atmosphere of a down-to-earth bar.
