    I would have to agree with Charleen -- My wife and I went there on whim. What an incredible experience. Servers were uterly profesional and friendly. Steaks were superb and reasonably priced. We never felt rushed. This has become our favorite steak place in the southern area of KC and its suburbs.

    Great Food, Service & atmosphere.: To be honest, the title of my article is true but only due to a couple facts:
    1) I went with my boyfriend's grandmother who is very wealthy and practically lives at J. Gilberts. So she receives special service everytime we go, and she has her own picture above her own booth.
    2) If my boyfriend and I had gone without them, I would hope that we would receive the same service.
    The servers were pleasent, and the food was excellent. The steaks are awesome, and the lobster was mouthwatering. I recommend this restaurant. The outside of the restaurant doesn't really prepare you for the beautiful interior. Very nice and pleasant. I enjoyed it quite a bit. I am looking forward to returning.

    J Gilberts is Top Tier and Best Steak in KC: I'm a stong supporter of local establishments, but none of them can hold a candle to J Gilberts' wood grilled (not broiled or gas grilled) steaks. Their seafood is also very good. The atmosphere is top tier and service is always good. Everyone from KC or out of town that I take here becomes an instant convert. J Gilberts is my first choice for a business or upscale personal dinner!
