User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI was never a big fried chicken fan, having grown up on KFC as my only reference. Came here on a friends suggestion. The place isnt sparkling new, but in an old farm house type place. Got the all you can eat chicken and mashed potatoes, wow, KFC never made it like this. Food was really fairly priced for all that you get. After becoming a fried chicken fan, went to Strouds..????? Not sure what all the hubub is with that place, Strouds chicken tasted really plain, like someone forgot to add the spices. The waitstaff looked like they were off a Jerry Springer episode (note I went to the Fairway location). So if you like fried chicken give this place a try, anyone got any other chicken places that are good? and please oh please, don't say Strouds...

i will always love this pizza and this place above all others. it is the best i have ever had and i would eat there anytime that i can---they have the most amazing "hotdog" specials as well!!!

I love this place!: OK, I must confess, I haven't tried their entire menu because I can't get past their fantastic pan fried chicken, green beans, mash potatoes and gravy. I would say it is just like mom made but . . . get real, she could never cook like this. This is not the typical southern Johnson County eatery. Nothing chick, no panache, just great food at a low price. What is the deal? By the way, when not eating there, I gorge myself next door at their pizzeria. Momma-mea!
