About:	We are a locally owned restaurant rich in history. Opened in early 1940's and known for great choice steaks and our famous hand-cut french fries and homemade gravy! Our staff and customers is what makes this restaurant great. From David Childs, the cook, who has been with the restaurant 17 years to one of the remaining waiters, Charles Johnson, who is celebrating his 25th year with the restaurant this month! It is not uncommon to have customers who have been coming to the North Star for 20 or more years. In fact some of our regulars that come several times a month have been coming out for over 40 years! Formally a private club, we are now open to the public!
