I bought my own giftcard to the place: As expected, it's a relatively small coffee shop. But I find it very welcoming and comforting. It has many round tables clustered together near the front for the particularly social people, but further back has some couches and a long table for the larger groups. Overall, the place feels and looks inviting, and I would even say it is in much better shape than many of the other coffee shops in town.
The drinks are superb. The style in which they serve the tea is really cool: they use a filter and actually scoop the tea inside. Then they put it in the water glass, seperate from your actual drinking cup. You can let the tea soak for as long or little as you'd like and then mix it in with whatever ingredients your drink comes with. It just tastes more real.
The ladies I have seen working there are very pleasant. They smile and are very friendly, more than willing to guide you around the menu and offer suggestions towards their favorite drinks (of which there are plenty to choose from).
I've yet to try the pastries or other food items they have, but I imagine they can't be that bad considering everything else about that place is top notch.
A good cup of Joe!: I love this place! The coffee is good, which isn't it suppose to be since you are AT a coffee house? But some places don't have great coffee this place does! You can also take some home to brew at your own place. I love going there, it's cozy, but it could be more cozier...you can also sit outside and enjoy your joe. Great snacks to go with that joe and in a grat atmosphere. I enjoy walking in here, small and and quaint! Stop in and grab a flavored latte...
Great discovery in downtown Manhattan: I can't say enough good things about this coffee shop. That says a lot, because I am a barista myself and am pretty picky when it comes to java. My first experience at Radina's was nothing but positive: the baristas were very friendly (AND exceptionally knowledgeable), the prices competitive, and the atmosphere sophicated yet comfortable. The latte I ordered was served in a glass mug (very modern, sparse styling) and steamed to perfection. I also tried a spiced pumpkin muffin, which was heavenly (they do offer several lunch items as well). I wholeheartedly recommend Radina's based on this experience. They have won a new regular customer!
