We had an interesting experience. I have to say their food is excellent. We took our parents there a couple weeks ago. We put our orders in and 15 minutes later, at 7pm on a Saturday night, they say they are out of pizza dough. A little upset, I said I did not wish anything else, as I came for pizza. But 5 minutes later they come out and say they are out of what my father ordered. They did give us a $7 discount, but our dining experience was ruined. There food is excellent, but their management needs improvement. Hopefully the conversation we had with the manager will help resolve any future problems. I will return, but I will call to make sure they have what I want available.
Delicious! I reccomend it to anyone. This is a step up from the Olive Garden.
The atmosphere alone makes it worth coming to, with Sinatra playing all the time and the beautiful lighting, this place will not disappoint.
Expect to pay around $25/person for a good meal, or $15 if you're cheap.
The service at The Olive Garden in Topeka has gone far downhill, so my wife and I decided to give Paisano's a try. Wow! We'll never go back to The Olive Garden. At Paisano's, the service was quick without being intrusive. The breadsticks were melt-in-your-mouth fresh and well seasoned with real herbs. The food was wonderful and rich, definitely made by a chef or real cook rather than a cog in a chain restaurant machine. As our poor waiter said today, Paisano's is one of the few restaurants where people get to sample the dessert menu because they are too full to do so. This was even after we got boxes. So we instead left, took a walk in beautiful Gage Park across the street, and came back for dessert. Again, wow! Try the tiramasu or black and white torte (chocolate cake, chocolate mousse, white chocolate cake, white chocolate mousse...ooooohhh!).
The prices are right on par with the chain restaurants, but the quality of food and service is far above. The food is so deliciously rich, it tastes almost as good reheated as it did first coming out. Better service, better quality of food, better ambiance, beautiful shopping area to walk around afterward. Once you've eaten there, you too will never again want fine Italian anywhere else.
