Located in the historic "M. Liepman & Bro." clothing store, Judy's Country Cupboard offers everything from greeting cards to licensed university logo items, from Americana to Victoriana, from rustic ranch to country cute.
I've been shopping here for years, even before we moved to Fort Scott 10 years ago.
My travels have taken me to many foreign countries, and a couple of my favorite "Kansas" gifts for hosts, colleagues or clients have come from Country Cupboard: little cornhusk dolls and intricate wheat weavings. Both are unique crafts that represent our corner of the Great Plains.
This store is also the source of one of my addictions: Fiesta® dinnerware from the Homer Laughlin China Co. (Yes, I really do need every piece in every color. Don't judge me.)
And perhaps the best kept secret: Magic Wand® stain stick. It's sold in the quilting department. (Did I mention she also sells fabric?)
This is a great place for visitors to get a souvenir or locals to buy a gift. Judy's is also a ticket outlet for almost every event in town.
Note: The cross streets information in this listing is wrong. The store is on N Main St between Wall St and Old Fort Blvd. (Stanton & Market Streets have not existed for decades!)
Nice store-you can find anything there from handmade items to factory made plus candy. I love this store and can always find a unique gift-many items can be personalized.
