User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI just got back from having my lip pierced by John and I am extremely happy. I have had poor piercings in the past from other shops, and so working with a professional in a good environment this time was a must. John and the staff at Stray Cat are extraordinary and I will continue to work with them in the future.
For those who have ever had a poor experience with a piercing- most of the time it is due to unsanitary environments, poor technique by inexperienced staff, or poor aftercare instructions. (or the person does not follow aftercare protocol!) Knowing these reasons, I did my research before I went in to get another piercing. Let me tell you what you will get with Stray Cat--
The establishment is clean, and the piercings are done in a room separate from tattoos. Every instrument used is clean and sterile, and John changed gloves several times during the piercing to maintain aseptic technique. He was also a lot of fun to talk to, and makes sure you are relaxed. My piercing was quick, relatively painless, and I was given very clear aftercare instructions, free sea salt for soaks, and directed to come back any time I needed help, or to get more sea salt at no cost.
After today, I will trust no one else in Manhattan for piercings. I am sure I will be seeing them soon for my tattoos, but today let's just review the piercing :)
Go see John, follow aftercare instructions, and you will be extremely happy with your new piercing!

User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsmy husband wanted to know the price of a tattoo and it was way too expensive, and everyone in the place was RUDE! go to TATTOO MANIAC. at tattoo maniac it was HALF the price, good quality, and hell of a lot better service.
