User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThe food is great and the service is pretty good, but unless you want to be verbally assaulted in public you had better not dare try something from the plate of someone else in your party. For instance, my parents used to love eating at Jim's until one day the proprietor happened to see my mother eat a sirloin tip from my father's plate. This prompted him to storm into the dining area screaming "charge those a$$holes for another plate, I'm sick of this $#!*, those a$$holes are always ripping me off". Being mild mannered, good natured, churchgoing people, my parents paid their bill and left (never to return). I wish I'd have been there... I'd have gladly have spent the night in jail to give him what he deserved for that outburst.
I've got news for you, Mr.Proprietor: They paid for the food they were served, so why did you care who ate what? I've boycotted your establishment since that day, but I'm actually going there tonight for my girlfriend's birthday. We are going to share items from each others' plates. I defy you to pull that stunt with me.-

My grandpa is Jim!! my dads side of the family owns the place. the best steak i've ever had in my life.
P.S. we sneak in the back door and eat for free everytime we come :)

I have been eating at Jim's since my college days in the 70's. The food is great and the family that owns the establishment has never shown one instance of anything other than great service and hospitality. I have never left without being 100% satisfied. Politely I am calling BS!
