Called Josie's to find out if they took Missouri checks because they don't take credit cards or debit cards, and yes they do take Missouri checks. We loaded up and drove the 35 minutes it takes to get there, we got there, place was empty which never happens, but we were told it would be 35 - 45 minutes. No problem, we waited. More people kept coming in and the wait got considerably longer (3 hours). Still the restaurant was empty, then we find out that there was a party of 55 coming in, which is why the wait is so long and why the restaurant was empty. We waited, and waited, again only a 35-45 minute wait, so about 45 minutes into our wait we ask how long it is going to be, we were told they didn't know, but we could move to the smoking section. I have asthma, that wasn't going to happen. So we waited, waited and 1.5 hours later we finally got seated. Got a nice waitress, ate our food, got to the bottom of my plate and there was a bug. I notified our waitress who took my food off but still charged the others in my party as well as my drink. Well 1.5 hours of waiting, and then a bug, I did not feel we should pay for any of it. The bug was alive so it could crawl on other plates. I took the checks up to the counter to talk to them, told them what happened and then comes a very loud lady, owner, manager, don't know but I proceed to tell my story again and that I feel we shouldn't have to pay and she wanted to charge me for my plate because I did eat my food, yes I ate it but when I was done at I found a stinkin bug, I told her that was not right, I had not raised my voice, no one in the restaurant could hear me. Meanwhile she proceeds to YELL at me where the entire restaurant could hear. "Oh, just take it off so they will leave." I said "great, we won't be back" And another employee decided she wanted to get in on the action and proceeded to tell us we were not welcomed, and that we could never come back. No problem we won't ever be back and are writing this review to warn all to not go there. They do not care about Customer service, they just want the money. I own a business and would NEVER treat a customer that way. In this economy restaurants need to understand that we don't HAVE to spend our money in their establishment. Don't go to Josie's they are a monopoly, high priced, rude, inconsiderate, greedy. Only restaurant in Scammon I believe but you deserve to be treated with a little respect.

This is a fantastic restaurant. The food is very good. The portions are generous. I love the olive salad they serve ( I can't remember what they call it, but I ordered some to take home too) and the bread is SO good. They are only open weds - Saturday.

Very Very good place to eat. Its a very family based ristorante..lol And the sevice is great. Next time your there try their beef tips, or the chicken breast. Two of my favs. One of my favorite places to eat with out a dought. Be sure to swing by they love new comers.
