This is a super place to take friends for cold beer and great chicken fried steaks, service is friendly and you can converse with the servers.I have been coming here for 30 years, and every meal is perfect, and fresh. If its in the day time you can drive the back roads and look at the history of the old farms and their stone barns, lots of wildlife every where.Very nice old dirt roads winding and lots of beautiful farms and ranches in this area.Lanham is not far from here and you can go to a town that one side is in Kansas the other in Nebraska. Also Hanover has some beautiful historical building, to see.Well worth the drive.
Ricky's @ Hanover: The food here is wonderful and you get tons for your money. I recommend their "rubbed steaks" and the Friday evening All you Can Eat Fish specials.
I am not usually a huge eater, but I did manage to polish off their 18 oz Sirloin the other night. Stuffed to the gills! And it is a good "family-style" restaurant. They do serve beer if you ask too.
Small town cafe' yet Big Attraction!!: Ricky's Cafe is just like hometown goodness. If you are lookin for an excellent dinner or just a quick burger , this is the place to go. Everyday noon specials and Sunday specials at prices that you cannot beat. You will see people travel from further away just to eat at Ricky's. They also cater to banquets, weddings, any kind of event that you may have. Kermie Rickenberg and his staff travel far and can accomodate your every need, and his prices you can't beat!!!

i am 38 and lived in hanover around 1982 or 1983, i had mr geisbrecht as my teacher. we use to go to ricky's cafe before and after games. do they still have big juicy cheeseburgers? i am amazed that some things never change! my sister and i were thinking about taking a road trip in your area next summer. is there anything to do there other than ricky's or do you still have to go to marysville to have entertainment?
