I live here in Pittsburg, but I would rather drive the 45 minutes to Joplin, MO to get food and supplies for my snake. It is worth driving the distance. At ClawPaws there is a great variety of items for pet care but some if not all are over priced. I can get one live mouse for my snake to eat for around 3 dollars each. At other pet stores in joplin they are around 99 cents each.
The staff here are friendly and are very helpful. they have a great variety of fish and aquarium supplies.
I can't tell you how angry I am. We had four abandoned kittens we were trying to save and bought some formula at this place per the suggestion from the employee at the store. We read the directions and followed them to the tee. After we lost three of the kittens we took the last on to our vet. It had bactiera in it. We looked on the formula can and it was dated 5/2007. TWO YEARS+ OUTDATED. I will never shop here again and suggest you don't eighter. We plan to put an add in the paper saying the same thing. POOR KITTIES
We went today to check out the selection because there isn't any thing good close to Fredonia and WOW were we pleased.GREAT service, selection and knowledge.Folks stop by here and check out the fish.I brought home a Gold Nugget Pleco,2 blue lobsters and several mollies and we are very happy and will do ALOT more business at Clawpaws Pet Shop.

I can't believe that a business that is a specialty store would sell outdated food items that most probably killed these poor little animals. I have many friends in the area that are vets and cat breeders and I plan on passing this along to them. I am also considering informing the ASPCA. Shame on you!! Thank God you do not sell baby formula!!
