When we found we had water damage in our basement several years ago, I was scared to death about getting someone in here to clean up the mess and make sure it wouldn't happen again. They not only put our minds at ease but let us know how to connect with our insurance company and discuss the pros and cons of filing a claim and get everything in order.
Fortunately, we called them in time (they have 24 hour emergency response) that there wasn't any mold, just some backed up sewage and rainwater. It was pretty nasty before they arrived. I think there may have been some fertilizer or other miscellaneous gunk that made it into the basement from the standing water outside, too.
I don't know... but I know that within several days everything was dry, and they used their content cleaning devices to make everthing (that was possible) good as new.
We lost a case toilet paper, but that really didn't seem like a big deal given how massive the total project was.
During the entire process they were so careful to protect the rest of our home and all their people that came in and out of our house were the most courteous people I could have possibly asked for. They taped everything off - adding barrier material and all and let us know what they were doing as they were doing it.
There was some furniture and electronics downstairs that I thought were gone for good... but they made them look better than they looked in years. And they smelled clean, too.
Dustin took care of the process from start to finish, and now we are lifelong Stover's Restoration fans. I really can't say enough good stuff about their services.
They have worked on our homes several times. Their work is phenomenal, and they leave our home in perfect condition. Their upholstery and rug cleaning is one regular task for them to perform.
Also, their duct cleaning services have really helped my five-year old with her asthma.
They were here about a week ago and mentioned that people could review online so I looked them up online.
Unless you want your belongings broken....: They did a flood restoration job on our apartment. It took them almost 2 weeks to finish the job. They piled our belonging and furniture on top of one another, wet or dry. When they were done with there equipment, they were supposed to remove our carpeting to be replaced. They removed the carpeting from the wrong apartment.
Then when I was moving my furniture back to its rightful place, I noticed several items broken: my son's recliner (someone had stepped in the seat), an end table (a leg was snapped off), and 3 framed pieces of art for my son's room.
I called to complain. They did not respond, and I was forced to call back. Upon this call, I was argued with about the value of my furniture and told a call would be returned. The woman that returned this call informed me that they were not responsible for moving my furniture in the first place, and they were not paid to do so. She said they were responsible for the structure only, not the contents. When I asked if it was their policy to break items when they are moved, she said that she was inclined to believe her technicians, who said they did not break anything. I have not been reimbursed for my items broken that were not broken when I left the house. She also went on to blame the man that was laying our carpeting for the broken items, but I informed her that I was there when he was working.
Critical Outsider: I was very impressed with the service that they provided for my family. They really know how to take care of people and make them feel better for the situation that they have found themselves in.
